چکیده

However, as described in the following table, the band 2 700-2 900 MHz is allocated worldwide on a primary basis to radionavigation service, used for air surveillance radars (ASR), including radars providing air surveillance and air traffic control, as well as meteorological radars that are afforded equal status to the aeronautical radionavigation system (ARNS) for operation in this band under RR No. 5.423.

Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) and C-Band Weather Radar Interference Studies

There is a growing concern about the effect that wireless internet devices operating at 5 GHz will have on the operation of weather radars. At the World Radio-communication Conference 2003 (WRC-2003), the decision was made provide a primary allocation to the mobile service for the implementation of wireless access systems (WAS), including radio local area networks (RLAN), in the band 5470-5725 ...

Coexistence Test of LTE and Radar Systems

Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar, military Air Traffic Surveillance (ATS) radar and meteorological radar operate in S-Band frequency range. In fact 4G communication systems such as Long Term Evolution (LTE) make also use of these frequencies. Test and measurement of their coexistence is absolutely essential as performance degradation of mobile devices and networks and even malfunction of ATC rad...

Coexistence and Sharing between IMT-Advanced and DVB-T Services at 790-862 MHz

The 790-862 MHz frequency band is allocated for IMT-Advanced system on a co-primary basis operation alongside existing Digital Video BroadcastingTerrestrial (DVB-T), At WRC-07. As a result of frequency spectrum scarcity and emerging various wireless applications, coexistence and sharing between wireless systems become a recently considerable issue. Therefore, coexistence and sharing requirement...

Subsurface imaging in south-central Egypt using low-frequency radar: Bir Safsaf revisited

We present the capabilities of low-frequency radar systems to sound the subsurface for a site located in south-central Egypt, the Bir Safsaf region. This site was already intensively studied since the SIR-A and SIR-B orbital radars revealed buried paleodrainage channels. Our approach is based on the coupling between two complementary radar techniques: the orbital synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ...
